Catalina Suárez

Hi ! My name is Catalina and I'm here to help you to improve your English proficiency. I'm from Colombia, South America and my mother tongue is Spanish. I live in Bogota since I was a child and have always had an interest on foreign languages. During my time in high school I had various opportunities to teach English to a wide range of students. I was an English, Biology and Arts teacher for nine months in a rural school in my country where I learnt how to understand students, their different learning methods and how to help them boost their language capabilities. I taught toddlers and high-schoolers as well as the older nuns managing the school. I enjoy integrating relevant topics into our classes so that you will be able to use them in daily conversations. As a language learner myself, I believe that the best way to learn any language is to have the students speak as much as possible so that they feel more comfortable using it in different types of contexts and experiences. My hobbies include learning languages, playing table tennis, reading, traveling abroad, rock climbing and petting stray dogs. I really enjoy learning about different cultures and sharing experiences with people all around the world. My goal is to help you speak English fluently and naturally in different settings.
