Adisabel Monar

Hello everyone, my name is Adis Monar, I am a highly dedicated and passionate educator with a strong commitment to language learning and teaching. Currently, I am expanding my own linguistic skills: I hold a C1 level in English, B1 in Russian and Italian, and A2 in both Chinese and Korean.
Over the past four years, I have been teaching English to children, teenagers, and adults across Ecuador and other Latin American countries, including Chile, Peru, Mexico, Colombia, and Argentina. My teaching style is highly adaptable, and I strive to meet the individual needs, abilities, and interests of each student. I strongly believe that every learner has a unique path, so I tailor my lessons to focus on the specific skills they need to improve — whether it be speaking, writing, grammar, or comprehension.
I have worked at two institutions: Alianza, a fully online academy, and the South American Language Center. Throughout my experience, I have had the privilege of supporting many students in achieving remarkable goals. Allow me to share two success stories:
One of my students began at an A1 level and needed to reach B1 within three months to pass the Cambridge PET exam for his university admission. Through a personalized study method and his own determination, he successfully passed the exam. He is now pursuing a medical degree and actively uses English in both his academic and daily life.
Another student aimed to achieve a score of 8.0 on the IELTS exam. After taking it independently and receiving a 6.0, he sought my guidance. In just two months, through structured preparation and his consistent effort, he took the exam again and scored an impressive 8.5 out of 9. I was incredibly proud of his progress.
In addition to teaching languages, I am also deeply passionate about music. I am a pianist, violinist, and singer, and I perform in 14 languages. One memorable experience was helping a 7-year-old student learn to play the violin for a school performance. Thanks to our dedication, he was able to meet the expected level and continue his musical studies with confidence alongside his peers.
I am qualified to teach up to the C1 level, and I am proud to say that children also respond very positively to my engaging and supportive teaching style.
