Hello there, you! I’m Liana - I am a teacher, writer, and researcher with a BA in English and Communications. During my four years of teaching experience, I have helped dozens of students achieve their language-learning goals. My teaching is unique as I teach English through a variety of topics, and don't just focus on the technicalities of language such as grammar and vocabulary. I also teach Public Speaking, and Professional and Business Communications to help you perfect English at work and in business.

My teaching methods are based on the age, interests, professional background, and study goals of the student. Generally, I include interactive reading materials, topic discussions and role-plays for developing speaking skills. For developing listening skills, we usually watch informative videos or short films. My students also enjoy learning English through English and American Literature where we read books and poems and write interesting analytical reports and have lively discussions in class. For my business students, we do role-plays to practice Business Negotiation skills in English and so much more.

I have mostly worked with adult students, ages 18 and above for the following goals: - prepared for international language exams such as the IELTS exam - leveled up General English skills from B1 to upper levels - prepared for job interviews in English - taught email writing, and resume making in English - prepared for Public Speaking events such as work or school presentations in English
